NO SUPPORT HERE

+AMDG+

“But what comes out of the man, that is what defiles him. From within the man, from his heart, come evil thoughts, unchastity, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, licentiousness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly. All these evils come from within and they defile.”

-Mark 7: 20-23

Jesus seems to be telling us that it is not the circumstances that forces us to take certain actions but it is our own choices to do these actions. It is much harder for me to admit that something is my fault than to be honest about something. I don't think you can know God without being honest. You just end up believing in a "god" that never challenges you, just reinforces and enables you. It ends up becoming a "god" that is made in your image and likeness and not the other way around. Jesus does not do those actions he says are evil. We do not need to think that Jesus supports EVERYTHING we do, but instead supports us when we are honest and  want to be life-giving people.  He supports us in when we seek to remove sin, and self-destruction and he supports us when we show mercy and are honest. He loves us enough not to help us in continuing to believe the lies we tell ourselves.
